Survive the Battle of the Bulge and end the war by drinking Hitler's wine from a German eagle's nest.
One of the show's greatest strengths—among its many accomplishments—is that it focused heavily on a core set of characters throughout the war, with each episode told from the point of view of a different member of the company. In doing so, the exhibition gave a true picture of what it was like for the men who fought the war in Europe.
This BBC World War I miniseries is split into three separate episodes. The first takes place weeks after Britain's entry into the war, when soldiers with the Royal Fusiliers arrive at Mons in Belgium, being pursued by what they believe to be the German army.
